The International Research Association for History and Social Sciences Education (IRAHSSE) was founded in 2009 by a group of experts in didactics from many countries with the aim of exploring the relations between the teaching of history and social sciences. These school subjects indeed face deep transformations both at the level of curricula and of practices, in response to new societal expectations. The mission of IRAHSSE is to promote research in history and social sciences education through the creation of a network of scholars worldwide.
